Alex R (R&R) - he/they
For Co-Chair
Alex is a member of the South Brooklyn branch, originally from Lima, Peru. He works for the City of New York and is a proud member of AFCSCME DC 37.
Alex worked as Deputy Campaign Manager for Eon Huntley, Spanish Language Coordinator for Alexa Avilés, and was a Field Coordinator for Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral campaign in South Brooklyn.

Herman B (Ind.) - he/him
For Organizing Committee
Herman has been involved in DSA since 2022. He has served as a field lead for the Zohran Mamdani mayoral campaign, tabling lead for the Break the Chain campaign for an arms embargo, facilitator of several DSA reading groups, and an organizer for multiple poli-ed panels.
Kameel M (Emerge) - she/they
For Citywide Leadership Committee
A current CBK OC member, Kameel is new to the Flatbush branch and officially in love with the neighborhood. Kameel works as a book editor (and dreams of a publishing industry labor revolution). In DSA, Kameel is active in the CBK Community Solidarity Committee, and has focused on advocating for member democracy in her role on the branch OC. Within and beyond DSA, Kameel organizes for Palestine solidarity and prison abolition and will continue to fight for our collective commitment to those movements.

Rob K (Emerge) - he/him
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Rob has served proudly 3 terms as NBK OC and two terms as CLC. Rob is a graduate student in childhood education at Hunter College and is a founding member and officer of the NBK Community Solidarity Committee. Since joining DSA in 2018 he has been a field lead for Zohran '25, Claire '24, Brandon '21; treasurer for Jabari '22/'24; comms/field for Defund & Racial Justice WG; and the treasurer for Tax the Rich '21.
Sammy Z (Emerge) - they/she
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Sammy serves on the Organizing Committee for the Break the Chain campaign for an arms embargo. They are a communist and anti-imperialist who proudly took part in the student intifada and have been organizing for racial justice, demilitarization, and queer and trans rights since their teenage years. They are probably the first struggling writer with a septum piercing ever to move to Bushwick.
Isaac O (Emerge) - he/they
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Isaac is a North Brooklyn Community Solidarity Committee organizer. He has worked as a grassroots organizer since 2020, mostly informally. His efforts in 2020 are documented by filmmaker Shawn Batey in the WE KEEP US SAFE docuseries. Isaac works for a public defender nonprofit. He is a proud rank-and-file member of ALAA.
Isaac is also an aspiring music producer.
April M (R&R) - she/her
For Citywide Leadership Committee
April was a field lead for Zohran's campaign in Ridgewood and Bed-Stuy. Before moving to NYC, she served two terms as Labor Working Group chair in Olympia DSA and was Field Director for the Robert Vanderpool and Caleb Gieger campaigns for Olympia City Council. She is currently a MA student at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
Pedro-Andres R (R&R) - he/him
For Organizing Committee
Pedro-Andres is a member of the North Brooklyn branch of Puerto-Rican descent. He works as a fundraiser for the ACLU. Pedro-Andres volunteered as a field lead for Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral campaign in North Brooklyn.
Robert E (Emerge) - he/him
For Organizing Committee, Citywide Leadership Committee
Robert is an NBK member who has previously served on the Immigrant Justice Working Group Organizing Committee, the Red Rabbits Admin Committee, and as the NBK Branch Rep to the Citywide Leadership Committee. He is the artistic talent behind Brick x Brick’s visuals, and has contributed design work to the Union Power campaign, Illapa’s run for AD65, the Defund campaign, Stop Cop City NYC, EWOC and various Anti-War Working Group events and actions.
Charlotte A (Emerge) - she/they
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Charlotte was a founding co-chair of the North Brooklyn branch in 2017 and has been hanging around since, most recently as a field lead for Zohran in Ridgewood. They spent over a decade working in childcare and the service industry but now work in documentary film. Charlotte first came to socialism through feminism and believes neither is possible without the other.
Brian (Emerge) - he/him
For Organizing Committe
Brian is a member of North Brooklyn DSA, where he’s entering his second term as an officer on the NBK Community Solidarity Committee. He came to DSA in October 2023 to get connected to direct actions for Palestine and quickly found an organizing home in the Anti-War Working Group, where he learned to link class struggle to Palestinian liberation in everyday life. In his free time, Brian likes to hang out with his cat, play the bass guitar, and root for Philly sports teams.

Blessie R (Ind.) - she/her
For Organizing Committee
Blessie is a recent graduate, where she helped bargain a contract with other college residential life staff through UFCW Local 1459. She currently works with high school students through an education non-profit as a a rank-and-file advocate and is hoping to go into public school teaching. She has primarily been involved with the Membership Committee, helping with one-on-one onboarding and hosting Coffees with Comrades sessions. She also organizes with the Community Solidarity Committee and does labor solidarity work within the Break the Chain campaign.
Diego P (Ind.) - he/they
For Organizing Committee
Diego has been part of NYC-DSA since October of 2024. He's from Colombia and works in the tech sector, and seeks to utilize his free time and energy in making DSA a successful project. He has been involved in canvassing for the Zohran campaign as well as part of multiple protest coalitions for Palestine liberation and the end of genocide, including participation with No Tech for Apartheid. Additionally, he takes it upon himself to onboard new members where they are to try to make their DSA participation a better experience.
Niko N (Emerge) - he/him
For Organizing Committee
Niko is a CBK member, anti-imperialist, and abolitionist. He has served on the Citywide Political Education Committee Organizing Committee, the CBK Organizing Committee, and as the Co-Chair for the International Committee Europe Division. He also organizes in the CBK Community Solidarity Committee and volunteered as a Field Lead for the Zohran campaign. Vote for him if you hate Zoom meetings and want lots of branch socials.
Ronit K (Emerge) - she/her
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Ronit has been around the block! She's served on the Steering Committee, the Citywide Leadership Committee, and the Central Brooklyn Organizing Committee. She's currently in her electoral era on Eon Huntley's kitchen cabinet. In addition to leading the initiative to open a Brooklyn DSA office, she has focused on Palestine liberation and community solidarity in DSA. She is a tech worker and anti-war veteran, and in her free time reviews perfumes on social media.
Landry L (Emerge) - they/them
For Organizing Committee, Citywide Leadership Committee
Landry organizes with the CBK Community Solidarity Committee to build DSA's relationship to neighborhood-based organizations. Previously, they have served on the CBK Organizing Committee and on the Citywide Leadership Committee. Landry is also a tenant organizer with the Crown Heights Tenant Union, fighting displacement with their neighbors. As a labor organizer, they led the effort to bargain their union's first contract. In their years in NYC-DSA, they have organized with the political education committee, the Socialist Feminist working group, and the Red Sprouts Childcare Collective.
Michael S (Ind.) - he/him
For Organizing Committee, Citywide Leadership Committee
Michael has lived in Bed-Stuy for over 10 years, works for a nonprofit that sues landlords for violating tenants' rights, and is on the leadership committee of his neighborhood community garden. He serves on the Organizing Committees of the Tenant Organizing Working Group, the CBK Community Solidary Committee, and Break the Chain campaign. He is a member of the kitchen cabinet for Eon Huntley's campaign for State Assembly. His skills include picking restaurants, being really good at trivia, and rolling perfect joints every time.
Marina W (Emerge) - she/her
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Marina works as a therapist and clinical researcher at Brooklyn College’s Immigrant Student Success Office and is a proud member of CUNY PSC. Marina served on Zohran’s policy team, and is currently a member of the NYC-DSA Immigrant Justice Working Group OC, where she started and co-leads the KYR, court watching, and rapid response training programs. Marina is also currently an alt for CLC.
Nikhil S. (LSC/Emerge) - he/him
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Nikhil joined DSA in 2016, as part of a group that revised the chapter's constitution and bylaws. He's a proud public sector lawyer and union member who formerly served as a local president. He's worked at local and national levels on policy platforms and campaigns around labor, ecosocialism, economics, and debt/finance as well as electoral and international solidarity campaigns. He's been an OC member of the ecosocialist working group and a CLC alternate, served on national convention committees, and has attended most post-2016 local and national conventions.

Natalie B (Emerge) - she/her
For Organizing Committee, Citywide Leadership Committee
Natalie is a member of the South Brooklyn Branch. She is originally from Montana, having settled in New York after moving around a lot. She is a high school math teacher. Natalie has been a DSA member for nearly 3 years, canvassing for Eon Huntley and being a field lead for Zohran Mamdani.
David-Desyrée S (B&R) - he/they/she
For Citywide Leadership Committee
David-Desyrée is a member of Staten Island DSA. Born in South Carolina and raised in Connecticut, David relocated to Staten Island in 2022. He works at the JFK8 Amazon Fulfillment Center and has been an integral rank & file organizer and active member of the Amazon Labor Union, ALU-IBT Local 1. He is currently serving on the Staten Island Interim Volunteer Committee, SI-DSA’s leadership body that is helping to build Staten Island towards branch status.
Carlo F (Emerge) - he/him
For Organizing Committee
Carlo is from the Philippines and is a proud member of the South Brooklyn branch. He spends his time doing his part to grow the DSA infant caucus, as a new parent.
Carlo has been on the OC of the chapter's Anti-War Working Group, taking part in campaigns like Not on Our Dime, and has also organized on the DSA International Committee, building bridges with Philippine solidarity orgs.
Jessica S (Ind.) - she/her
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Jessica is a member of the South Brooklyn Branch and has made her living as a cheesemonger. Her grandparents met across a tenement window in Manhattan in the early 1900s as working-class immigrants.
Jessica is Labor Co-Chair for DSA NYC's Break the Chain campaign, and has coordinated neighborhood tabling events, implemented union training and workers circles, collaborated with Pro-Palestine organizations, and developed a team of organized volunteers around Palestine and the workplace.
She has lived in South Brooklyn for 12 years.

Alejandro S (Emerge) - he/him
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Alejandro is a member of the Queens branch, born and raised in Queens. Alejandro is a tenant organizer with the Tenant Organizing Working Group which has been involved in working to build collective power among tenants of A&E in Sunnyside Queens. He has also been involved in political education work, specifically helping to develop the political education program for the Break the Chain campaign.
Lexie C (Ind.) - she/her
For Organizing Committee, Citywide Leadership Committee
Lexie is from southern Queens and is involved in efforts to build socialism in areas where it is not yet popular, such as southern, eastern, and central Queens. She is a Field Coordinator with the Trans Rights and Bodily Autonomy working group, and is involved with the Community Solidarity Committee.
Mubashir S (Ind.) - he/him
For Organizing Committee, Citywide Leadership Committee
Mubashir is a member of Queens DSA, born and raised in Ozone Park since 2003. He worked as case manager in the mayoral administration for the migrants that were bussed to NYC. He does data and research for the Electoral Working Group and served as a Field Lead for Zohran Mayoral Campaign in neighborhoods like Ozone Park/Richmond Hill/Jamaica.

Jazz H (Emerge) - he/him

Jazz is a member of the Bronx Upper/Manhattan Branch born and raised in The Bronx. He was campaign manager for Keron Alleyne, co founder of the AfroSocialists and Socialists of Color Caucus, an onboarder for NYC-DSA, and was a field lead for Zohran Mamdani's mayoral campaign in the Northwest Bronx.
Thomas T (Ind.) - he/him
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Thomas is a member of the Bronx and Upper Manhattan Branch and Hunter College YDSA. He is a part-time municipal data analyst and is a shop steward of his PEF Division 288. He also is working on his urban planning masters at Hunter College. Thomas is currently serving his last formal role in YDSA before passing it off to the next generation of campus leaders as NYC-YDSA’s co-chair. He previously served as the NYC-DSA New Deal 4 CUNY Campaign secretary, managing coalition coordination."

Alina S (Liberation) - she/her

Alina is a member of the LowMan Branch, originally from Bashkortostan, Russia. She used to work in the corporate sphere for over a decade but is now a full time student getting her masters in Social Work from Fordham University. She would love to work with the immigrant population. In her free time, she loves watching movies (Rise of the Planet of the Apes fans rise up!), reading leftist (and nonleftist books), gaming, and fighting for animal liberation.
Peter M (Liberation) - he/they

Peter is a member of the LowMan Branch and has been active in DSA since last year. Originally from Long Island, he’s been a longtime resident of NYC and has spent most of his life living in Chelsea. He is on the Outreach Committee in DSA’s Liberation Caucus, and is committed to bringing his theoretical principles and organizing history to his branch and NYC DSA!
Giovanetta M (Emerge) - she/her
For Citywide Leadership Committee
Giovanetta Marangoz is a member of the Lower Manhattan branch. She is co-chair of NYC-YDSA and is a student of psychology and women & gender studies at CUNY.
Giovanetta worked for a New York Public Interest Research Group as a campus lead for the higher education campaign, overlooked NYC-YDSA's Students for Zohran, and partners with organizations to make birth control accessible on CUNY campuses. She is organizing to make NYC-DSA into the connection between community-focused organizing and building socialist power and currently on the Youth International Committee.
Matt C (Liberation) - he/him

Matt is a member of the Lower Manhattan branch. He is a former union shop steward and the proud son of two teachers.
He is a member of the LowMan CSC building local connections as part of Socialism is the People, and serves on the OC of the Anti-War Working Group.
